About me...
I first got introduced to massage 12 years ago when I worked for a small chiropractic office in Los Alamitos, CA. Over the years I have practiced massage on close friends and family, but never pursued massage as a career. After many years of feeling out of place in a normal office setting I decided to pursue my massage license and extend my services to people outside of my small network I had been accustomed to working on. After starting the licensing process, taking more classes on different types of massage modalities, and massaging many new people I am completely sure that I have found my calling as a therapist. I like to take in to consideration peoples careers, health issues, lifestyles, as well as any injuries they may have sustained either past or current in to their treatment plan while receiving a massage. I feel this maximizes their experience and gets them on the right track to feeling healthier and happier. When our bodies feel good, so do we overall.
I live a healthy lifestyle and I am quite active. I train for marathons by running 4-6 days a week for various times and distances and I always incorporate massage in to my regular training schedule as often as possible because it aids in my overall recovery as well as aches and pains I acquire from the strain I put on my body. I have massaged other athletes who feel the same way about massage. It is a holistic approach to recovery as well as pain management. In order to enhance our performance as athletes we have to keep in mind what we put in to our bodies as well as how we care for our bodies and massage has been one of my greatest allies in my performance enhancement and I stand firmly behind massage therapy.
